And it starts in the classroom.
BC’s 50,000 teachers are dedicated to delivering the best public education for our students, with the support that kids need to reach their potential.
But right now, funding for classrooms isn’t keeping pace with the complexity of our kids’ needs.
Teachers are stretched thin. And it’s increasingly difficult to give every student the attention and support they need.
Parents and teachers are working to hold it all together. But the reality in BC’s underfunded classrooms is that there’s not enough time, support, or resources when kids need it. Parents know it, teachers know it, and it needs to change.
After eight years of promises, this BC government needs to deliver for students, parents, and teachers.

→ More supports to help meet each students’ unique needs, with an EA in every primary classroom and a counsellor in every school.
→ More resources to address the complexity of today’s classrooms.
